Permanent Ability is an award winning, original, Los Angeles based, rock/alternative/funk band founded in 2008 by three time Emmy Award winner,
and Best Frontman Award winner Brian Lanese. Dubbed the 'lyrical Mark Twain' amongst fans due to his family relation to the writer, and vivid lyrics; Lanese is joined by Best Bassist Award winner and former Tourniquet bassist Steve "Dino" Andino, guitarist Nick Gordon, and drummer Gary Rinaldi. 

The band has rapidly accomplished numerous achievements which include, the overwhelming success of their independently released debut "From the Womb to Hollywood EP" featuring legendary bassist of George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. Their latest 2010 release Bring It On! is produced by Jim Wirt known for his work with famous bands such as Hoobastank, No Doubt, & Incubus amongst many notable others.

Permanent Ability was awarded in the voting categories for: Best Male Frontman, and Best Male Bassist representing Hollywood, winning them The 14th Annual Rock City News Awards "THE ROCKIES." The band has been recognized by ESPN, due to their highly energetic music, Pandora Internet Radio, and also nominated for "Artist of the Year" by FlippenMusic.com. They peaked steadily at number eleven on Myspace's Unsigned, Funk category, representing the entire State of California. As well as, 47,000+ hits with the most viewed, and most requested webcast performed on Flashrock.com.

The band toured the US independently in 2009, but is known to frequent and headline world famous LA venues such as: House of Blues, The Viper Room,
The Roxy, and the Whisky A Go Go. Permanent Ability always displays explosive live performances that menace with high energy, cataloguing a radio friendly set-list that always gets the crowd involved. With influences ranging from LL Cool J to Jimi Hendrix, Permanent Ability puts their own stamp on funk-rock music, rejuvenating the genre, and setting them apart from other bands.
