THE WORKING HOUR
THE WORKING HOUR

The Working Hour is an indie-pop band from Planet Earth that features Andy Riesmeyer (Vocals, Piano and Guitar), Peter Doherty (Drums), Ethan Walden (Bass) and John Newell (Lead Guitar) and plays music similar to artists like Weezer, Jack's Mannequin, Fun and Vampire Weekend. Their self-released debut album Unbreakable has sold over 3,000 copies since the summer of 2009. Whether in the studio working on the next record with Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, Jack's Mannequin, The Rocket Summer) or opening for artists like Jack Johnson, Hanson, Rooney and the Company of Thieves, the band has established a growing fan base online and on the road and garnered praise from press and music industry heavyweights. Mike Flynn, the multi-platinum Sony A&R producer of The Fray says "[I] love the songs...really dig his voice..." NUVO magazine reviews the band: "Unbreakable is a remarkably polished, cohesive album... the record offers a variety of power-pop arrangements that are catchy and well-developed, complex and rich." Radio stations are loving The Working Hour too - "Presented beautifully. A clean, great arrangement, lean and understated with a perfect focus on the vocal (and what a vocal!) brilliant work." raves Bob and Tom Show host Tom Griswold. "Nice vocals, and a great story." - Brad Holtz, Program director at 92.3 WTTS-FM. The Working Hour is a fresh band for the future, exploding with a palpable, youthful energy just as undeinable over speakers as seeing the band perform live.
